"Behind that there was something else at work, beyond any design of the Ring-maker. I can put it no plainer than by saying that Bilbo was meant to find the Ring, and not by its maker. In which case you also were meant to have it. And that may be an encouraging thought."
-Lord of the Rings, The Shadow of the Past

My name is Elizabeth, and I don't believe in coincidence.

The Bible tells us of an infinitely creative, loving, involved playwright who is scripting history on every major and minor scale. Everything is premeditated, even those moments that go off script.

It's not a coincidence that galaxies looks like fractals, that I ended up working in China though I love Ireland, or that both you and your co-worker chose decaf instead of light roast this morning. It's all a part of the divine drama, meticulously designed to leave us in stunned awe of the the author. And that may be an encouraging thought.

Join me as we dive into this complex existence and point out the intricate metaphors woven into the substance of life. None of it is coincidence, so it's either stunningly ironic or just plain wrinkly.
